Club Builder's Strategic Planning Program
The Club Builder Strategic Planning Process goes a lot deeper than simply writing a plan. It is an inclusive process that engages club stakeholders and helps build a targeted action plan for future development. In formulating the club’s Strategic Plan, we will explore several issues in more detail. We will aim to clarify the Club’s collective Vision and Mission; identify the club’s Overarching Objectives and Key Strategic Imperatives and finally, map out a plan for the club to realise those Key Strategic Imperatives over the course of the next five years. On top of that, we will continue to engage with the Club through the course of the first year of the life of the plan.

Club Insights
The Community Sports Insights Survey gives us guidance on members’ perceptions of the club’s relative strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and an indication of the members’ loyalty, engagement and satisfaction with respect to the club.

Club Strategic Plan
The Club Strategic Plan builds on the Club Insights and brings in an objective review of club operations and drivers including finance, membership distribution and pathway structures as well as a strategic workshop with key club stakeholders.
The Club Strategic Plan includes the Club Insights PLUS:
A review of Club Operations Plans, Financial Plan and Revenue Streams
Review of Team Structure & Player Pathways
Geographic Mapping of Membership
3-hour Club Stakeholder Strategic Workshop
Review SWOT Analysis
Prepare Club Strategic Plan including:
Vision, Mission and Values
Overarching Objectives; and
Strategic Imperatives
2-hour Boardroom Briefing
Timeframe: 6 – 8 Weeks
Club Tactical Actions Plans
The final phase of the Strategic Planning program continues to build on the Club Strategic Plan and introduces the associated Tactical Action Plans as well as twelve months of Monitoring and Support to ensure that the Strategic Plan is adopted and implemented successfully.
Club Strategic Plan PLUS:
Determine Tactical Action Plans for each Agreed Strategic Imperative including targeting of growth opportunities
Final Presentation & Implementation Workshops
Twelve months Monitoring and Implementation Support
Timeframe: 8 – 12 Weeks
