Our Facility Development Program recognises that facility development is often a long-term process. Many clubs miss major opportunities to improve their facilities because they make the mistake of not planning what they want in the long term, communicating their plans to stakeholders and engaging with appropriate levels of government and the wider community.

Facility Development Plan
The Facility Development Plan provides sporting clubs with a high-level overview of the clubs needs and plans for the most appropriate facilities to achieve the club’s mission and vision. The Plan includes:
Identification of club projects and priorities
A short (6 page) colour document and slide pack to use in discussions with both internal and external stakeholders, government representatives, supporters, sponsors and investors
Identification of relevant Council and Political Stakeholders; and
A plan to engage key stakeholders and funding partners with the view to progressing priority projects
The Project Timeframe is 4 – 6 weeks.
Facility Development Advocacy
Our Advocacy program usually follows the completion of a Facility Development Plan. During the Advocacy, we oversee the implementation of the FDP and work with all stakeholders to ensure that your plans have the best chance of being approved and implemented.
The Advocacy usually commences with:
A meeting with council officers (and other relevant authorities) to understand the current environment and priorities
A meeting with Councillors, State and Federal MP’s and other potential sponsors and supporters to gauge political and potential funding opportunities
These initial meetings will establish the timeframes and “rules of engagement” for the balance of the Advocacy and the projects generally.
The Engagement Timeframe is 12 months.
Facility Development Advocacy Renewal
“After the first year of the Facility Development Advocacy, it is essential to maintain momentum and continue to get your project noticed by those who matter.
After the first year of the Facility Development Advocacy, we will have engaged the important project stakeholders. Renewing your Facility Development Advocacy program will provide you with assistance in the logistics of continuing to secure funding and overseeing the commencement of the project.”
